Commons Kids (Coed, Ages 5-7)
COMMONS KIDS
Celebrating Real Kids • Summer Camp for Ages 5 – 7
Children face a lot of pressure in today's world. If they miss out on imaginative "play," they don't develop the cognitive, social and emotional skills needed for future achievement in school and other realms. Research shows that time spent in play and make believe helps children develop critical executive functioning skills. The ability to self-regulate, control impulses, & make good choices all have roots in children’s imaginative play.
Now is the time to give your child lots of opportunities for open-ended play & imaginative games. It may look like they’re just playing pirates or princesses, but they’re busy learning abstract thinking, cooperation & problem-solving.
Commons Kids offers an activity-filled environment where children develop social and emotional intelligence while they're busy having fun. We build on children’s own imaginative play with a series of semi-structured role-playing games that promote cognitive development & growth.
The benefits last a lifetime. Children gain —
• Self-control
• Emotional self-regulation
• Problem-solving skills
• Understanding others’ point of view
