MAPs 2 - Next Steps

In this follow up class to MAPs I, we will focus on maintaining and sustaining a daily mindfulness practice, how to bring mindfulness into our daily activities, how to develop more concentration, and how more confidence and wisdom can arise in our practice.

Pre-requisite: Attendance in any introductory MAPs I or equivalent mindfulness introductory class with permission from our instructor.

This class offered in partnership with the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center.

As parents, we sometimes find ourselves overcome by emotions like worry and frustration, anxiety and anger. Mindfulness — the practice of being in the present moment with an open and curious attention — can help us work with these emotions in a way that leaves us and our children feeling better. We can use basic mindfulness practices to find some ease and balance amidst the challenges of parenting.
