Adabel Lee, Ph.D.
Dr. Adabel Lee received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2009. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. Subsequently, she completed a two-year clinical and research postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology at the University of Michigan Department of Psychiatry, where she provided evidence-based treatment and assessment for children and their families.
Adabel is a Family Coach at the UCLA Family Commons and a research psychologist with the Global Center for Children and Families at the UCLA Semel Institute. Prior to becoming a psychologist, she was an elementary school teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Her work, as a psychologist and a teacher, has been driven by the belief that early intervention is the most effective strategy for supporting healthy child development. She works with children and families to develop positive, adaptive skills and strategies to increase their resilience to a wide range of stresses. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and spending the day at the beach. She has accepted the fact that she cannot start her day without coffee, and continues to work on keeping her love of french fries under control.
